Spanish Vocabulary Sheets for Long Island Food Not Bombs

These are vocabulary sheets with English to Spanish word conversions for everyday phrases, foods and items that appear at our Food Shares. These sheets are very helpful if you are trying to learn Spanish or if you'd like to converse with the Spanish speaking population at our Food Shares.

Some Updates & the LIFNB Four Year Anniversary!

Truly everything over these past 4 years has been incredible, from community zines to community gardens. It’s been so incredible that we invite you to join us this year in celebration. Yes, we will soon be announcing a week of celebration this June that will hopefully outdo all of our expectations. Details will be coming soon so pay close attention to our website.

Discussion & Thoughts - Thanksgiving Food Share Bonanza

The Hempstead Thanksgiving Food Share Bonanza was indeed the largest of all time - both in the scale of people and the sheer volume of what was shared. Within half an hour 10,000’s of pounds of fresh foods made their way into the grocery bags of hundreds of people.
