Thanks for coming and making our benefit a huge success!

We here at Long Island Food Not Bombs just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out last night for our first summertime benefit. Lulu’s Village Pub was filled with great people; volunteers and new faces interested in learning what exactly Food Not Bombs is about.

In particular, we’d like to thank everyone at Lulu's Village Pub and all of the musicians who volunteered their time: Shannon & Natalie, Ryan Mack, Practice Room Records Collective, AllOne w/Michael Korb and Born In A Cent. We’d also like to thank Alex R, the Cinema Arts Centre and everyone else who donated prizes for our raffle.

Most of all, we’d like to thank Karen and Brian for organizing last nights festivities. They took on the bulk of the work and created a benefit that helped raise hundreds of dollars for the community non-profit we’re creating.

So in closing, we’d like to say thanks again to everyone that had a hand in last night. Oh, and if you couldn’t make it out, don’t worry; we have another benefit in two weeks with another great lineup!

In regards,
JonSTeps & Long Island Food Not Bombs
