Event Planning Meeting, Tonight @ 8pm & Peach Tree Project Meeting, March 9th @ 8pm
There are two great meetings coming up and two great ways to get involved with Long Island Food Not Bombs.
Event Planning Meeting: Tonight, 8pm @ Urban Coffee in Greenlawn
This event planning meeting is to discuss our current progress, share creative input and outline a future plan of action concerning fundraising and outreach. With your help, we can continue to work with communities across Long Island in innovative ways. Please spread the word to anyone you know who might be able to join us for this important event. We're looking to create concerts, art auctions, poetry readings and whatever other events you may be interested in.

Peach Tree Project Meeting: Tuesday, March 9th, 8pm @ Urban Coffee in Greenlawn
Each year, as part of the Peach Tree Project, LIFNB organizes community members to share seeds and germinated fruits/vegetable plants. The idea behind this is that these seeds and plants are shared amongst the community to create independent food sources. People are encouraged to grow some of their own food and bring the excess back to their local food share to share with others.
On Tuesday, March 9th we will be discussing the many ways community members can get involved. We need a lot of help and your participation is a huge benefit. Gardening skills are not needed but are useful. If you'd like to get into growing your own food this meeting will be a great start.
