Nairobi Food Not Bombs is a local chapter of the global Food Not Bombs Social Network Movement. We recover food from well wishers as well as local supermarkets, groceries and big hotels, feed the HUNGRY for our campaign and run a media out-let for sustainability and people to tell stories the way they feel. We started by feeding and educating the street kids in korogocho and kangemi slums with a pilot project which was funded by our fellow activist and me

Officials, frustrated with Food Not Bombs' decision to continue feeding the public without a license, have stepped up their enforcement of the anti-war and anti-hunger group's weekly potluck food offerings at the corner of Liberty and Main streets.

Police Threaten Albuquerque Food Not Bombs
Albuquerque Food Not Bombs has recently received threats by local police in what is the latest of a string of Police interventions across the country to hinder local Food Not Bombs and their day to day activity. While this incident by itself is not that bad, one has to question why sharing food with community members is so bad? Do we ask friends at a BBQ's to get a license? Who has the right to ask any of us for a license to share free food?

The Sunflower Project Week[end] 5, May 23rd-25th
So The Sunflower Project has suffered some serious delays due to rainouts these past two weeks. The good news is that this weekend is supposed to have perfect weather and that's exciting because with your help we'll be able to complete the garden by the start of next week.
