Hey,
So I know this should have been discussed at the meeting and I'm sorry about that. Anyway, a monthly zine might be a cool project to work on and a great way to involve community members. Here are some ideas for content that me/Jon/Lila have thrown around:

- Pullout section in the middle to encourage people to submit their thoughts on different political issues (probably the Oscar Grant shooting for the first issue). People could give that back to us so it could be published in the successive issue.
- What is FNB + maps and times
- Creative Political Writing: Neruda's "The United Fruit Co." in Spanish and English, Muriel Rukeyser's "St. Roach", maybe something of my own, definitely anything you wanted to submit!!
- Reviews/write ups of local bands
- Something on the Oscar Grant shooting with ways to help (put in phone numbers for the mayor, instructions on how to write a letter, etc.).
- Something positive happening right now in a community where we share food
- Something about the war in Iraq and/or Gaza
- Artwork, especially if anyone has photography they want to share?
- Activity for kids (a picture they could color in, a connect the dots, etc.)

The whole thing would be about 16 pages, so we'd really really be looking for submissions.

I know that Mike, Dana, Alex, and Maria seemed interested in working on this and I'm sure there are more.

Questions:
- Would meeting after FNB on a Sunday work for people?
- Even if you couldn't make it to a meeting, do you have any other things that you would want to see in a Food Not Bombs Zine?
- Can anyone think of places they could see it being distributed -- our list included FNB chapters in Brooklyn and Long Island, Bluestockings, Book Revue, Urban Coffee, and the Witches Brew.

Thoughts?

xoxo
