Submit Articles & Photos to “As of yet, Unnamed”, next issue deadline Oct. 1st.
We want to get the ball rolling again on our zine project “As of yet, Unnamed” but at the moment we only have one article written by Alex W. (P.S. – he rocks). That said we need more. Zine articles are not ridged they can include topics that vary on anything you like. To read the last issue click the following link (http://www.lifnb.com/media/zines/as_of_yet_unnamed_april_2009).
If you’d like to contribute or ask questions about it feel free to contact Monica (monicaewendel[at]gmail[dot]com) or Me (JonSTeps[at]yahoo[dot]com) or post your thoughts/ stories on this Forum.
How you can help:
* Contact monica or me if you’d like to send any content for the next issue (please send this by September 27th)
* Help promote the zine at Food Shares, and encourage community members to write their own thoughts.

next zine issue
I've been extremely slack about putting my input into the fnb zine but have some ideas for the next issue. Any news on the next slated zine date?
zine updates
There is a great deal of content thats come in for the next zine, but we're still looking for more. I think we're hoping for a new issue within the month.
It's also seeming like the focus of the zine will be on the unified oppression relating to issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, species and the earth.
'zine project: identity
hey all,
so i'm pretty beat right now, sorry if this email doesn't sound as excited and energetic as i usually do in person.
here's the deal: we want to keep going with the zine. it seems like a cool way to get people as a group to come together and reflect on different things effecting their own lives, their communities, and food not bombs. as a way of getting people more motivated, we thought that tying this issue together with the theme of "identity" would give people a base to start out on, ideas to work from.
so far we have one article (from alex) on why we, fnb, are not a church organization. i want to include at least:
one poem/creative piece from an established poet (last issue: pablo neruda in spanish and english);
alex's article;
one personal history/interview/something from a community member at the food share (maybe someone who tells us good stories?);
a recipe (using materials you can find at the foodshare);
a craft project (ditto);
one article about a national/state level issue (war spending, etc.);
one local-type article about an issue involving one of the places we do a foodshare;
ANYTHING else you are interested in, think other people are interested in, or want to contribute.
this is also going on the forums right here: http://www.lifnb.com/forum/new_zine_issue_october_1st
let me know what you think, and hopefully i'll see people this weekend : )
xoxo
