Ok, the idea behind this is to move our Hempstead Food Share to Mirshal Park on September 28th and have a BBQ/Picnic/Fall Celebration along our Food Share. The park can also create a calmer setting that can help us to talk with communities members on how we can do this all better.
What needs to get done? Basically, make a flier, flier the neighborhood after Sundays Food Share, bring extra cooked food, make yummy apple cider?
How you can help:
• Cook awesome vegan food for the BBQ
• Bring park blankets
• Help with flier translation
• Help make flier
• Bring a BBQ grill
• Bring Refreshments
• Create creative fun projects for everyone

I’ve made the flier, fixed the date, created an event page on our website (http://www.lifnb.com/events/hempstead_fall_festivalbbq_mirschel_park). But there’s still a lot more that needs to be done.
Things we need:
*A portable BBQ grill.
*Hot Apple Cider
*Large Signs in English and Spanish, (1 for the Hempstead Train Station that tells folks the Food Share will be in the park for the day, 1 for the entrance way of the Park , 1 at the intersection of Terrace Ave and Atlantic Ave with an arrow pointing where to go.)
*Paper plates, cups, forks, etc…
*1-2 folks will to drive folks from the train station to the park if they can’t walk.
*Fun games & entertainment for the park.

This might be a really good place to talk with community members about the 'zine and to maybe start taking down oral histories / "as told to ___" stories. i can bring juice ... maybe alex r. and i can figure out a creative project to do with the kids.
