Long Island Food Not Bombs: Thanksgiving Preparation Meeting 2010!

This Wednesday in Huntington at 7pm Long Island Food Not Bombs will be holding a meeting to discuss our biggest event ever. You see, last year we organized the largest Food Not Bombs “Food Share” in world history! And this year we’ll be out doing ourselves, BIG TIME! Tens-of-Thousands of pounds of food, thousands of people and community solidarity!
Yes, bigger, greater and more solidarity-fantastic! But to do this we REALLY need your help. What we’re planning has never been done and we need your help to make it happen.
This years Thanksgiving Bonanza will have nearly a dozen events throughout the week of November 20th-25th. The largest of all these events will be our Vegan Thanksgiving. It's a 2-day affair that starts as an all night cooking party, (on Nov.20th, everyone is invited) and culminates into the Vegan Thanksgiving Food Share the next day in Hempstead.
As we said before this will be the largest Food Share ever, we expect to be able to share a feast with everyone that comes! We'll then be continuing the week with nearly a dozen events spread across our Food Shares in Coram, Huntington, BedStuy & Farmingville.
This is our most ambitious project to date and to pull it off we are going to need your help, your friends help and even the help of their friends. Solidarity is what makes Long Island Food Not Bombs so strong and we ask that you help us make these events even more absurdly inspirational then we could ever imagine.
This Wednesday, November 3rd, at 7pm (sharp) please come down to the Huntington Public Library as we discuss this matter further, pass along information to your friends, and bring your neighbors. The more people who get involved the crazy it will all be.

Also, please feel free to bring vegetarian canned/dried goods or clothing to the meeting. We'll be ready to collect anything you bring.
