Share some fancy clothes with Food Not Bombs this Sunday
Join Long Island Food Not Bombs this Sunday (May, 22nd) at 2pm for a Fancy Clothing Share! What is a Fancy Clothing Share you say? Well our great friends at St. Hugh's Project HOPE just got an incredible donation of men’s dress clothes. Project hope is an amazing program and they’re hoping to spread the wealth around by giving Food Not Bombs a large portion of these clothes to share at our locations across Long Island.
It’s jaw dropping to be honest. Dress pants, thermal jackets, vests, sweaters and other items that are all brand new! We’ve already shared a bunch of it, but this Sunday at our Hempstead Food Share we’re hoping to make a special event out of this Fancy Clothing Share.
Wanna get involved?
For starters, you can just join us this Sunday at our Hempstead Food Share and offer to lend a hand. You can also take this opportunity to bring some of your own clothing to share with the community. Do you have some stuff just sitting in your closet? Or a nice toaster oven you don’t use anymore? Just bring them down to one of our food shares and share it with someone who will show it love.
Oh, and the celebration!
Don’t forget, Community Solidarity, a nonprofit started by LIFNB community members, has just received its approval as a 501(c)3 and we’re all celebrating tonight at Urban Coffee. Please feel free to join us in the celebrations!
