On Wednesday, Dec.14th from 8am-10pm, Whole Foods Markets in Jericho & Manhasset will be donating 5% of their profits to Community Solidarity, Inc! If you’re not familiar with Community Solidarity, that’s Long Island Food Not Bombs’ sponsoring nonprofit.

The Long Island Food Not Bombs Thanksgiving Bonanaza has been incredible! We’ve already organized six amazing events since Saturday and we have another four planned for the rest of the week!

A torrent is growing around the Long Island Food Not Bombs Thanksgiving Bonanza and, with just two days until our largest event ever, the question is - are you going to be a part of it?

Starting November 19th and going through November 25th Long Island Food Not Bombs and Community Solidarity, Inc. will be holding their largest endeavor to date; it will include parties, Food Shares, copious amounts of decadent meals, the sharing of clothing, books and the organized efforts of hundreds of community members.

It’s back-to-school season and students need their school supplies, but for many Long Island families this can be a costly burden to overcome. Purchases like notebooks, backpacks, sneakers, etc… add up creating a heavy burden on many families struggling in this recession.

Join Long Island Food Not Bombs this Sunday (May, 22nd) at 2pm for a Fancy Clothing Share! What is a Fancy Clothing Share you say? Well our great friends at St. Hugh's Project HOPE just got an incredible donation of men’s dress clothes.

To our friends, supporters and fellow activists,

I am happy to announce that today marks the start of a new chapter in our movement to alleviate social ills such as poverty, racism, sexism, hunger and homelessness.

It’s been an incredible week of Thanksgiving Bonanza-ness! Across Hempstead, Coram, Huntington, Farmingville and Bedstuy we’ve shared tens-of-thousands of pounds of food.

But you know what, it’s not over yet! We have a special super secret Food Share tomorrow for buy nothing day.
