Help Save the 123 Community Space!

Our neighboring Bed Stuy Food Not Bombs chapter cooks awesome meals each Saturday at the 123 Community Space off 123 Tompkins Ave. in Bed Stuy Brooklyn. Along with hosting Food Not Bombs, the 123 Space also houses projects like - an after school program for children of all ages, a freegan bike workshop, screen printing classes, sewing workshops, etc... and it does all of this for free. But these programs and Bed Stuy FNB are threatened by a landlord dead set on eviction because of his disapproval of community spaces.

The 123 Space and BedStuy FNB need your help. To learn more please read on.

Long Island Food Not Bombs needs your help to stop Police Harassment!

Yesterday, Long Island Food Not Bombs was subjected to more police harassment in the Township of Huntington. Police officers threatened activists and community members with arrest, violence, false accusations of possession of illegal substances and about every law and town code they could think of.

After the two-hour long ordeal, a local activist was issued a summons by Officer Timothy MacDonald for violating Town Code Chapter 149 "peddling" (149-3 A). The hearing is set for October 8th at 9:00am.
